1949 American Motorcycling - Gypsy Tours

Cover Photo: Typical of all 1949 gypsy tours, the riders taking part in the North Dakota-South Dakota gypsy tour in the fabulous Black Hills in and around Sturgis, S.D., had real fun. Mount Rushmore, with its carvings of four presidential heads, was included in the tour, which covere 157 miles of rugged scenery. Despite the fact that this was a three-day affair, not one complaint was heard against the riders or motorcycles.
