Some time back, I came across this little motorcycle cartoon in the back of a 1965 motorcycle magazine. It shows a guy on a motorcycle with some kind of plunger contraption fastened to his helmet, and another plunger contraption coming up from the handlebars and this was supposed to be a way to carry a surfboard on a motorcycle. Funny cartoon, right?
But then, just a few days ago, I came across this small advertisement in a 1966 motorcycle magazine. Take a look:
This small ad in the bottom right corner of the page shows the Sky-Rac from The Sky-RAC Manufacturing Company, Rumson, NJ. I think somebody must've seen that old cartoon and got the idea they could actually build one and he probably sold millions of them...or maybe not.
