For 1981 the SP is tougher, gutsier and more fun than ever. One reason is the new-era 500cc 4-stroke single engine. It uses Suzuki's highly-advanced Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber design with 4 valves. Exceptionally clean burning, it pumps out gobs of low and mid-range power (great for rough places)....

Indeed, it is, a fine machine.
I wished I'd of learned of these
sooner, suzuki needs to run another batch of these. Mine is cherry, happened upon it by accident, I just love it, great riding bike. I have four Yamaha XT 500's and find myself, riding the Suzuki, instead.. lol... :-)
