1968 Article: Building a Yamaha Dragster

Actually this whole project started out as an experiment. For the past few years there have been articles on Yamaha 250cc dragsters but the larger 305 engine has been all but ignored. Probably the main reason this has come to pass is that you can walk into a Yamaha shop, plunk down several hundred dollars, and walk out with a real honest to gosh genuine racing engine that you don't even have to touch. Except for maybe matching ports and timing the ignition. With the 305, things aren't quite so rosy. In this case you have to do everything yourself...
