Illustrated BMW Motorcycle Buyer's Guide

Boxer twins, singles, K series, Military and Rennsport racers, 1923-current

BMW motorcycles are built to be ridden. It's not surprising to see a thirty-year-old BMW still providing daily transportation for its original owner; other riders swear by their tourers for journeys around the world.

The older black motorcycles with their white pinstriping have always been a symbol of solid German engineering. Today's Boxers and K Series motorcycles continue the tradition.

Illustrated BMW Motorcycle Buyer's Guide covers all the models from the first R32 of 1923 to the current K1 superbike, including singles, Boxer twins, military models, K Series triples and four-cylinders.

Other chapters cover the Rennsport production racers, BMW accessories, gas tank options, fairings and the numerous sidecars, including Steib and BMW Spezial models. Production charts, serial numbers and technical details are also listed.

Authors Stefan Knittel and Roland Slabon report on BMW motorcycles from Germany and the United States, with insights into the BMW factory as well as America's BMW history.
