1970 Joel Robert at the Delta Motor-Sport Park Trans-AMA at Delta, Ohio

Cover: Suzuki's 250cc World Moto-Cross Champion Joel Robert sets the pace for the Trans-AMA International Moto-Cross series. Though he is unlikely to earn the Championship, having entered the series late, Belgium's Robert has won four events for four entries. The photograph is by Art Zook, taken at the Delta Motor-Sport Park Trans-AMA at Delt, Ohio, October 25 where Robert rode the new 370cc Suzuki for the first time.

1973 Suzuki: We One

In every sport there's a number one. In motocross it's Suzuki. A lot of different bikes have won a lot of different races. But there's only one World Motocross Champion: Suzuki. Suzuki has won both the 250cc and 500cc 1972 World Motocross Championships. This makes 3 years in a row that we've won the 250. And two years for the 500. (We've only entered the last two.) In addition Joel Robert won the 250 Individual Championship on a Suzuki. Roger DeCoster won the 500 Individual Championship on a Suzuki. When you see all the other ads shouting "we won," remember that number one in motocross is Suzuki. We one.
