Busting onto the Six Day Team - 1974 ISDT Article

It would be easier to swim to Italy. This year's method of selecting riders to represent the United States at the 1974 International Six Days Trial (September 9-14) in Italy was the most organized attempt yet by the AMA. There is room for only 30 riders on the various U.S. teams.

Six on the World Trophy Team
Four on the Vase A Team
Four on the Vase B Team
Three riders each on five Club and Manufacturers's teams
One alternate who will ride as an individual if a replacement is not needed

Tom Penton slithers through the Picayune slop. He will ride a 175 at his fifth ISDT in Italy.
