Back-Cover Ad: Triumph tops heavy opposition to win America's first English style scrambles. Los Angeles, Calif., June 20 - Bud Hogan riding a strictly stock 1948 Triumph Tiger 100 with full road equipment and equipped with the revolutionary Spring Rear Wheel, today walked away with top honors in the first introduction of the English Style Scrambles to the United States. The racing contest which featured a large entry of American and Foreign motors and riders of National Fame was held over a terrifically severe and unprepared natural terrain that tested every component of the machines to the ultimate. Hogan's Triumph proved more than equal to the test.
