1912 Henderson on the cover of Indian Four Motorcycle News Magazine

Cover Photo: Not an Indian Four, but definately an American made Four that would entitle it's owner to a membership in the Indian Four Club. Your editor has tried unsuccessfully to get some plastic model companies to make up dies of an Indian Four. While looking over models at the local Hobby Center Store I discovered a model of the 1912 Henderson and the 1918 Harley. These were Japanese made models. The box was large and this beautiful picture of the 1912 Henderson on the top. I bought the model which was less than $5.00 and looked over the parts very carefully. When putting it together I found it a very tough plastic and a rather small model, not exactly what I wanted. Regardless, the picture on the cover was a color shot of a very beautiful restored real machine in the Harrah's Automobile Collection in Reno, Nevada. As far as we know, this is the 1912, 66 inch wheelbase Henderson Four production model, built in Detroit, Michigan. Some interesting facts on this machine may be found on pages 14 and 15 of this issue.
