Cover: By this time of year the enduro season is in full swing. The enthusiasts of this off-the-road sport have a choice of many locations and events which range from short, relatively easy runs to the long, rugged runs that test, to the limit, both man and machine. Pictured during this year's running of the Jack Pine, grand-daddy of all enduros is Frank Piasecki, 1952 Jack Pine champion, who has just ducked under a danger marker on the trail in the woods. Tony Ford, close behind, keeps the wick turned up so as not to lose ground. Frank finished first in A-mediumweight and Tony, seventh, in A-bantamweight.
