Rickman-Metisse for 1972 - the results are nearly perfect

Don and Derek Rickman have a new concept in motorcycle making. They produce a limited number of motorcycles a year for America. And they're hand-made to the specifications of two champion British Motocross racers - Don and Derek Rickman. These Rickman-Metisses take advantage of what Don and Derek have learned from the mistakes of others (and even from a few of their own).

Original, 1972 vintage Rickman-Metisse Brochure.

Don and Derek Rickman present their hand-made ready-made bikes for 1972:

Rickman-Metisse Motocross 250cc - this is the bike that won the 1971 Pike's Peak Hill Climb championship. It combines the unique Rickman lightweight frame of Reynolds 531 with a powerful and reliable Montesa 250cc engine for a super power/weight ratio...

Rickman-Metisse Motocross 125cc - Here's a dynamo that beats out bikes with twice its cc's. Even up the toughest grades, that Zundapp engine keeps coming on...

Rickman-Metisse Enduro 125cc - The Rickman Brother took their famous Motocross bike and made it street legal...
